Under the Housing Act 2004 anyone selling a house from 1st August 2007 onwards with four or more bedrooms will have to provide (and pay for) a Home Information Pack (HIP's) to made available to prospective buyers. In future HIP's will also be introduced for all smaller houses.
Come a long and find out why this new legislation has been introduced, what HIPS contain, how to arrange one and what additional cost will be incurred by the vendor.
Also as a buyer of properties, you need to understand what to look for in a HIP for the property you are interested in buying.
