York Residential Landlords Association is a non-profit organisation, made up of landlords, letting agents, and prospective landlords in York. Our main aim is to help educate landlords, offering help and advice and generally make their jobs easier!
York Residential Landlords Association are now offering virtual events. Unable to hold our normal monthly presentation evenings face to face, we are now offering these over Zoom. The virtual meetings follow a similar format to the face to face meetings, with two or three speakers from partner organisations: our Recognised Service Providers, trade organisations, City of York Council and charities we support. Providing relevant information and education to our members on areas of concern and interest.
Subjects over the last few months have included:
JDL Electrical, Plumbing and Heating discussing landlord requirements because of The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020
Ware and Kay Solicitors discussing Notices and Possession claims: where are we now? A review of some of the recent changes in the law affecting residential tenancies
York Community Energy - Introduction to the Green Homes Grant.
The presenters for our virtual meeting on the 10th November are: Endsleigh, Hunter Gee Holroyd and Restore.
Speakers for 2021 include: B&Q Tradepoint – who offer members a 10% discount, Housing Hand – Tenant Guarantee Services and the City of York Council discussing Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards that now apply to the PRS.
